A short mystery story set amongst pro girl ballplayers

Murder in the Clubhouse is now available on Amazon.com for $0.99 and it has a new cover.

New Cover, Murder in the Clubhouse by Lois Browne

The story? Ed Harrow was one of the Belles’ biggest fans. So why did he end up dead in the team’s clubhouse?

Teammates Jo Diamond and her cousin Harry recognize a clue the police have found at the scene, but if they tell what they know, it could be the end of the team and their professional baseball careers.

Their only option is to find the killer before the police find out their secret.

This story is set in the world of the All-American Girls Softball League, later known as the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, started in 1943 by P. K. Wrigley, owner of the Chicago Cubs.

I hope this story reminds people of that very different time, but be assured that all people and events are the product of my imagination.
